Minden and Hallett often work with the smallest of sounds – the clink of miniature liquor bottles, the twang of rubber bands, the rustle of dried peas – … Rather than shrieking its message at a sustained pitch – the tactic of demagogues and advertisers – the Minden Duo gently asks the listener to really listen, as part of a communal act of creation that returns some of the wholeness of ritual to the concert or CD experience.
